Hello again! For the last countdown day before the MFT June Release goes live, I’m sharing a bold nautical card featuring the versatile Slanted Stripes Cover-Up Die-namics.
I die cut it out of Amarena Cherry Prestige and Smooth White Card Stock and adhered the strips to an A2 top fold card base. Next, I stamped the Thick and Thin Background on a piece of white card stock, with Something Blue Premium Dye Ink.
I then used one of the dies from the A2 Circle STAX Die-namics to die cut a partial circle out of this pattern and adhered it to my card. Now, I could work on my little scene…
First, I partially die cut another same sized circle out of Copic friendly card stock. Then I stamped one of the bears from the Beach Bear stamp set and one of the sentiments on it. Next, I partially die cut the bear and finished the cut with my scissors.
Finally, I colored it with my Copic markers and adhered it to the other circle with foam adhesive. These are the colors that I used:
- Bear: E37, E35, E31
- Beach umbrella: R27, R24, C2
- Towel: B18, B14, B12
- Sand: E53, E51, E50, E35
As a last touch, I added some matching enamel dots. I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Don’t forget to stop by the MFT Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win one of five $75 shopping sprees.
