Howdy! We’re down to Day 2 of the MFT June Release Countdown and I’m sharing a slimline card with a beach scene.

It features images mainly from the cute You Keep Me Afloat stamp set, but also the sunbading frog from the Swimming Hole Friends. Instead of stamping and masking, I actually started by ink blending the sand on a piece of Copic friendly card stock. For that I used the Slimline Drifts & Hills Stencil as well as Kraft and Butterscotch Premium Dye Inks.

Next, I created the waves with the Wave Maker Stencil and the following Premium Dye Inks: Cornflower, Blue Yonder, Caribbean Sea, Summer Splash and Sno Cone.

I messed up the last wave, so I used one of the dies from the Ocean Waves Die-namics to cut the edge of my panel, which I then cut with the rectangular die from the Slimline Starter Die-namics.

I stamped all of the images on top of the background and used Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils and a white gel pen to color them. It worked surprisingly well!

After that, I die cut a second slimline panel and stamped the fishing bunny at the perfect height. This time, I did mask it before creating the clouds with the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Sno Cone Premium Dye Inks. The second bunny was stamped separately and fussy cut.

Lastly, I adhered my panels to a 7″ x 8 1/2″ card base of Cornflower Prestige Card Stock. I also added a couple of cute shells die cut with the Beach Scene Builder Die-namics. That’s it from me for today. Thanks for stopping by!
