Interactive fishing bear card tutorial

Interactive fishing bear card tutorial for My Favorite Things.

Hi there! Today I’m stopping by to show you an interactive fishing bear card and to invite you to check out the tutorial for it on the MFT YouTube Channel.

Interactive fishing bear card with pull tab pulled out.

When we pull the tab, the bear effortlesly lifts up a fish from the water. The gray fish was lucky to get away this time! Let’s check out the card in action in the video clip below:

The card is another version of THIS flying pig card that I made for Day 3 of the MFT Vault June Release Countdown.

I’m not going to go into too much detail in this blog post… thats what the TUTORIAL is for. However, in it I forgot to mention that I used Distress Oxide Inks for my ink blending: Tumbled Glass for the sky and Faded Jeans, Evergreen Bough + Tumbled Glass for the water. I also used the following stencils: Wave Maker and Mini Cloud Edges.

List of Copic markers used for interactive fishing bear card

The images that I used for my card are from three different stamp sets, which you can see in the product gallery at the end of this post. I stamped them with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with the following Copic markers:

  • Bear: E11, E21, E37, E35, E53
  • Fish: C4, C2, C00, R22, R20
  • Sand: E31, E51
  • Shell: BG13, BG11, BG10, E51
  • Palm tree: G94, G07, G05, G03

I also added some details with Prismacolor pencils and a white gel pen.

In the video, I also didn’t mention that the sentiment is from the BB Gill Friends stamp set. I heat embossed it in copper on a banner of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum.

The little shell was cut with one of the dies from the Beach Scene Builder Die-namics. I added some black outlines so that it would look like a stamped image.

Lastly I want to give you the measurements for all of the elements of my card. If you have any questions, leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. Have a great day!
