Is there anything more fun than making a rainbow-themed card? Yep, making a rainbow-themed Birthday card to inspire you to participate in the MFT Birthday Project Challenge of this month! I made a card for a dear friend using the super cute Safari Party stamp set.

I made sure not to cover vital parts of any of the animals and I think I did a decent job, although the back legs of the zebra and crocodile are floating in the air, ha ha ha. I took advantage of all of the masks that I fussy cut and lightly inked the background with some Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint Distress inks, before moving on.

After stamping the sentiment, from the same set, I used Copic markers to color the critters and added a little bit of texture and shading with Prismacolor pencils. Then I applied Glossy Accents to all of the eyes as well as to the bear’s nose.

The last touch was a bunch of colorful enamel hearts, that I was lucky to have in my stash. I hope you enjoyed today’s card… you can also check out THIS rainbow automaton, that I made a couple of years ago with the awesome You Gnome Me stamp set.
Have you already seen what my amazing teammates created? How would you incorporate the rainbow theme to a Birthday card? If you participate in this challenge, you could win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT store!
