Crisp graphic card for My Favorite Things

Crisp graphic flower card for MFT.

Hi again! I’m back with a crisp and graphic card for Day 2 of The April Card Kit Release Countdown. The featured Flower Silhouettes stamp set is very versatile and today’s card has nothing to do with yesterday’s more classic approach.

I started with a piece of Smooth White Card Stock, that I inked with Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick, Spice Marmalade and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks.

Next, I stamped some of the flowers from the Flower Silhouettes stamp set with Versamark ink and embossed them using clear embossing powder. To get the crisp, contrasting look, I then grabbed black Distress Ink and inked the whole panel.

Once it was dry, I used the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Set 1 Die-namics and the Simply Thanks Die-namics to die cut my panel. I cut two more sets of the letters in Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock, backed with Scor-Tape, and layered them.

I then cut my 5 5/8″ x 8 3/4″ cardbase out of Coral Cursh Prestige Card Stock and glued all of the elements in their places using the camouflage inlay technique. The last touch were some matching enamel dots. What do you think about the card? Is it too dark for your taste?

The beautiful Flower Silhouettes Card Kit will be available in the MFT store tomorrow at 10.00 a.m. EST (18.00 Spanish time). Be sure to head on to the My Favorite Things blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a 25$ gift voucher! Also check out what my awesome DT colleagues made!
