Yay, it’s time to celebrate because the MFT September Release is finally here! I’ve made another appreciation card, this time featuring the teacher from the super cute BB Lessons in Love stamp set
The school year hasn’t even started here in Spain, and I already have two teacher appreciation cards in my stash! ^_^ HERE’s the first one that I made, in case you missed it.
This time, I also used the versatile Brush Spatter Background and created an ombré effect by applying three tones of Premium Dye Ink to the stamp; Cornflower, Blue Yonder and Blu Raspberry. I also added some matching enamel hearts, that my friend Ana from the blog Hannah’s Corners gave me for my Birthday.
The fishtail banner from the “Starburst Sentiment Strips” (Free with August Card Kit) is perfect for adding a sentiment to a busy background. I die cut it out of my favorite Card Stock; Summer Splash and heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Bitty Thanks and Gratitude stamp set on it.
The banner was also an easy way to ground the image, which I stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut, before adhering it to the card panel with foam tape.
OK, that’s it from me today! Thank you for stopping by and happy shopping! Oh and don’t forget to stop by the MFT Blog to see how you can win one of two $100 gift vouchers to the MFT Store.
