Card with cityscape for WSC455

Card inspired by WSC455 at My Favorite Things.

Hello again! It’s time for a new Weekly Sketch Challenge (WSC455) at the MFT Blog. I was inspired to create a sort of fragmented cityscape at dusk.

I  started with some ink blending on an A2 panel of Bristol Smooth paper using the following combination of Distress Inks: Black Soot, Chipped Saphire, Seedless Preserves, Victorian Velvet and Antique Linen.

Next I diecut the cityscape both in black as in dark grey, using the City Block Die-namics. I chopped them up (easy to do thanks to the embossed lines), layered them and adhered them to my panel.

Instead of stamping the sentiment, from the Anything But Basic stamp set, on one of the buildings, I went with a horizontal vellum banner. I used strips of double sided Stick-It adhesive to adhere it to the cityscape… it’s almost invisible. 😉

There are plenty of possibilities for this sketch, so join us and you might just win a $50 voucher to the MFT Boutique. Thank you for stopping by and do head on to the MFT Blog for more inspiration.

If you liked this card, check out THIS ONE, which is similar but interactive. I made it a couple of years ago for the Card Design Superstar Challenge. This year’s edition has already started, so don’t miss out!
