Hi again! Remember my interactive Birthday card from last week? The one with a cat blowing out the candles on a big Birthday cake? Well, I made a new version with a kangaroo and filmed the process for the MFT Stamps YouTube Channel!
When the blue tab is pulled, the kangaroo from the Kangaroo Crew stamp set, rotates its head and blows out the candles. At the same time, a second sentiment appears in view.
I had to do some partial stamping and fussy cutting to separate the kangaroo’s head from its body, but other than that, it’s a very easy card to make. Here’s an animated gif of it:
And since gifs can be misleading sometimes, here’s a video clip of the kangaroo card in action:
What I like about this mechanism is that it is quite simple, forgiving and adaptable to other card sizes, stamps or dies…
It’s all about the contrast between the light candles and the dark panel. I recently explored the concept in THIS interactive card, that you might have seen. If you’re feeling up for the challenge, head on to the MFT Stamps YouTube Channel and check out the tutorial. Thanks for the visit and until next time… very, very soon! 😉
