Hello again! Participating in sketch challenges is such a fun way to get your creative juices flowing, after a break. For the new Weekly Sketch Challenge (WSC466) at the MFT Blog, I created a happy clean and simple Birthday card.
This time, I followed the sketch really closely… even printing it and taking measures of all the elements. I found that the smallest banner from the Fishtail Flag Trio Die-namics, was the perfect size for the two skinny rectangles.
I die cut them out of Smooth White Card Stock and stamped two of the sentiments from the Hop, Flip and a Jump stamp set on them. Since I found a couple of the cute animals, from the set, already colored and diecut in the storage pocket, finishing this card was a breeze.
The middle rectangle almost looks like a square, but it’s a smidge wider than it is tall. So I did some partial diecutting with the third largest die from the Stitched Square STAX Die-namics, to make it match the banners.
I wanted to draw a couple of curved lines to indicate movement, but couldn’t find a black pen, so I skipped it. Finally, I added a couple of enamel hearts to complete this happy little scene.
That’s it from me for today… thanks for stopping by! I hope that you join us at the blog this week, cause you might just be the lucky winner of a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique.
