Sweet Birthday cards in coral for Day 3

Sweet Birthday cards in coral for Day 3 of the MFT February Release Countdown.

Hi again! We’ve reached Day 3 of the MFT February Release and today I’m sharing two sweet Birthday cards in lovely shades of coral.

Day 3
I created the first one with one of the girls from the cute PI Birthday Besties stamp set. I partially stamped her and the sentiment on a panel of Copic Friendly paper, leaving out the balloon. Next, I masked her with masking paper and inked the panel with Coral Crush and Peach Bellini Premium Dye Inks. I added some stars using a stencil from the Card Sized Star Confetti Stencil Set.

I drew some lines with a fine black marker and die cut four letters out of Smooth White Card Stock using the Pumped Up Alphabet Die-namics. I then colored them with R22, R20 and R02 Copic markers.

For the girl I used the following colors:

  • R20, YR000, E04, E11 and E21 (for the skin)
  • R35, R33 and R31 (for the hair)
  • B95, B93, B91 and Y14 (for the dress and shoes)
  • C1 and C00 (for the dress and socks)

As a last touch, I added some round and star shaped sequins…

The second card features three large balloons die cut with the Perfect Fit Balloon Die-namics out of Coral Crush and Peach Bellini card stock. For the third one, I inked a piece of Translucent Vellum with Tickled Pink Premium Dye Ink.

For the sentiment, I stamped the large “You” from the All ABout You stamp set in Coral Crush Premium Dye Ink on the same colored balloon. I completed it with a strip of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum on which I heat embossed the phrase “Happy Birthday to”.

The balloons looked strange without strings, so I added gold-colored thread to all three. As in the previous card, I embellished with matching sequins. I’m curious to know… Which card did you like more? By the way, HERE’s another Birthday card in coral, that you might like.
