Hello again! The MFT September Release Countdown is nearing its end and for Day 2 I took a break from the Christmas projects and created a clean and simple card with the cutest friends ever.
The girl is from the PI Friends Forever and Ever stamp set and the boy, as well as the sentiment, from the Wonderful Friend set. I stamped them on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ (10,2cm x 13,3cm) panel of Copic friendly card stock and masked them with masking paper.
Then I inked the background with two stencils (Love is in the Air and Grassy Edges) and a rainbow palette of Premium Dye Inks: Poppy, Coral Crush, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Blu Raspberry and Grape Jelly.
After that, I did some paper piecing on the girl’s dress and colored the stamps with the following Copic Markers:
- Skin: E57, E33, E31
- Hair: W7, W5
- Girl’s clothes: BG15, BG13, BG11, RV34, RV32, W3, W1
- Boy’s clothes: W3, W1, W00, B97, B95, B93, B91
- Shadows in the grass: G46, G43, G40
As a last touch, I added some enamel hearts to the background and a big silver enamel star to the boy’s T-shirt. Then I adhered the panel to an A2 top fold card base with a sheet of white fun foam.
That’s it for today. Before you leave, HERE you can see another recent card with a Pure Innocence stamp, designed by Heather Ellis. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope that you also check out the DT’s projects on the MFT Blog.
