Earth globe card for MFT November Card Kit Release

Howdy! The wait is over and it’s time to celebrate the MFT November Card Kit Release! I’m doing it with a fun card featuring the earth globe from the I Miss Your Hugs stamp set.

I started by cutting a panel of Black Licorice Card Stock with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and the Confetti All Around Die-namics. Next, I spritzed it with Myca spray in three different colors and flicked some diluted white paint over it, to create the universe background.

After the panel was completely dry, I heat embossed the earthglobe on it, with blue and green embossing powder. Then I added some facial features, die cut with the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-namics. I also added a cute little speech bubble die cut with our Free with $60 product; Love Speech Bubbles.

Next, I adhered my panel to a same sized panel of Silver Shine Card Stock and then to an A2 carbase of Smooth White Cardstock. I kinda liked the clean and simple look of the panel, but decided to add one of the cute astronauts from the Best Friends in the Universe stamp set.

She’s holding a banner die cut with one of the dies from the Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics, another Free with $60 product. I partially stamped and heat embossed one of the sentiments from the I Miss Your Hugs set on it.

This card was difficult to photograph because of the shiny silver card stock and stars, which I added as a last touch. In the above picture you can see how those rays (confetti circle) reflect the light. Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy shopping!
